CREA, Dhaka, 20 Augusts 2017: The society for Community-Health Rehabilitation Education and Awareness (CREA) today held a Consultation Meeting with Experts on the draft Parenting Skill Training Module in its conference room from 10am to 12:30pm to gather the feedback and recommendations of the participants in order to finalize the module.
The experts who took part in the meeting included K.M. Tariqul Islam, Director, Department of Narcotics Control, Government of Bangladesh, Professor Mehtab Khanam of the Department of Counseling and Education Psychology, University of Dhaka, Professor M. Mahmudur Rahman of the Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka, ABM Kamrul Ahsan, Programme Coordinator, UNODC, Selina Ahmed, Executive Director, Acid Survivors Foundation, Dr. M. Kamruzzaman Mazumder, Chairperson, Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka, Dr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Professor of Child Psychiatry, National Institute of Mental Health, Nazma Khatun, Associate Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka, and Firozul Islam Milon, Senior Manager –CP, Save the Children, Bangladesh. The meeting was moderated by Tarun Kanti Gayen, Chief Executive of CREA and Team Leader of IPS Project.
After a detailed presentation of the draft training module, the participating experts offered their opinions on the content of the module, compared it with other modules being used under diverse programs/projects, and came up with recommendations so that it can be more effective and time-responsive.
